Summer chawan cup - Experimental

The PIKKELY Műhely's shape experiments of summer chawans are made from high quality raw materials, solid fired porcelain with a glazed surface of our own recipe.
These experiments are based on the lines of our beautiful, stretched bell-shaped tea cups are inspired by the wide, open-mouthed Kumi-dashi -hantsutsu-gata- chawan used for "summer" tea ceremonies. They are made from snow-white Limoges porcelain, moulded and hand-throwned, using a layer-sensitive glaze developed exclusively for this material and temperature.
